We are in Leo Season and we associate this energy with leaders, father, and fellowship – what kind of leadership do we have at this time?
On August 8, we moved through the peak of the Lion’s Gate which opened July 26 and closes August 12, 2021. 8/8 was also New Moon in Leo (16 degrees). This zodiac sign is ruled by the Sun, this vitality, this centredness and brilliance of who we are. Leo rules the heart and with it courage and leadership.
Across the globe, we are seeing developments that are calling for true leadership, rather than hypocritical policies that have different rules for the privileged. Questioning authority and stepping up to the plate ourselves takes bravery. For this is truly the Brave New World. A world that is still in creation, as the old one collapses.
Hole or Door
As Hopi Chief White Eagle said, this moment in humanity is either a hole or a door. (See full quote below). Whether we fall into a hole or walk through a door is up to us. Will we fall into a hole, trapped by our fear, a hole of deep despair and hopelessness, a hole where we see everyone as a potential threat to life….or will we walk through the door to a new world?
Will we perpetuate the shadow and victim frequencies? Or will we embody higher frequencies, live correctly as our unique self, and respect our own life force and that of others?
The old is crumbling. We are seeing through this divide and conquer strategy. We are. There are scientists, nurses, physicians, lawyers, US governors, parents, ex-employees of the pharmaceutical companies, inventors of the mRNA technology and PCR test, basically people across all populations everywhere that are speaking up. We’re also seeing brave leadership. There are monks chanting and meditating on peace and well-being. I too am here to celebrate the quantum miracle that each of us is. A beautiful reminder from Dr Zach Bush.
Yet the narrative and the fear propaganda is so compelling that history may just repeat itself. Where some group gets to decide the limits of liberty and rights of others. Our beliefs and choices should not equate to loss of democracy and freedom of choice for others who believe differently, who choose as sovereign beings. That is the old paradigm, one that sees “time as money” and a pie of limited size for the collective.
This illusion and spell, however, is losing its hold. What this global crisis has engendered is an awakening, a questioning of what we’ve been told. That is who we are – we pull together in crisis and we are in constant evolution.
The Closing of A Global Cycle
According to Human Design, we are closing a global cycle and entering a new one in 2027. Everything built in this current Cross of Planning – institutions, infrastructure, grocery shops, education, etc – will dissolve in the time to come. We probably won’t see its completion in our lifetime and let’s see how it unfolds.
Timelines shift and what the future will bring or its path, this we do not know. We are, however, seeing glimpses and signposts this past year, as supply chain, resources, and institutions take a hit. Along with that, we are seeing massive changes, as more and more parents, for example, protest illogical restrictions and start to homeschool, pulling their kids – our future – out of an institution that is largely failing many. This is not an indictment of teachers, rather than an education system geared towards specific ways of teaching and learning. A system that is not equipped nor designed to make health choices for parents, the implications of which can be far reaching.
Navigating these Times
In times of uncertainty, we face confusion and discomfort. The mind wants relief. It wants us to make a decision, perhaps to feel we are in control. We’ve all felt that discomfort, this angst of wanting to resolve it. Do you have a centering practice? Simply focusing on our breath, extending the exhale, feeling the body relax, and fully inhale, can be transformative. I forget this sometimes too. More energy balancing tips with Jin Shin Jyutsu here.
When we do not have clarity, it’s not time for us to make a move. Life will show us the next step. The pressure to act may be coming from the openness of our design, where we are vulnerable to conditioning.
The way forward is to navigate from our inner authority, as who we are uniquely. Not from the mind which cannot know, cannot see beyond what it knows only to measure.
Leadership – the 7th Gate
Leo is full of vital energy and courage. As a fire sign, this is a passionate, powerful, and creative energy, augmented by the Sun’s potent rays. We associate leaders, fathers, and kings with the sign of Leo. One of the biggest lessons is authority, namely how to wield it without dominating others and insisting on knowing what’s good for them.
As we move through this peak of the Lion’s Gate, the Sun is transiting through Gene Key and Gate 7. It takes a day to move through one of the six lines of each of these 64 Hexagrams.
The 7th Human Design Gate
“The 7th Gate is oriented toward the future, with an ability to see when society’s present direction needs correcting to get there. The substance of its contribution to the Collective is expressed through designated leadership roles, which are the : Authoritarian, Democrat, Anarchist, Abdicator, General, and Administrator. These roles are genetic and mechanical, and have tremendous conditioning power within the Collective. Through our role, and with our understanding of humanity’s future direction, we persuade others to follow our leadership, thereby influencing people in positions of influence themselves… Those who carry this gate may evaluate or modify the existing pattern or questionable direction, or be the catalyst for creating a new direction. This position of influence is described as the power behind the throne.” – The Daily View, International Human Design School (The six leadership roles refer to the six lines of the 7th Gate.)
Some of us have the 7th Gate defined in our design. However at this time, as the Sun (which is 70% of the neutrino/informational influence) is transiting this gate, we all have access to this energy. As the Sun moves through the six lines of the 7th Gate, we can witness within ourselves and the collective the expression of these six leadership roles, as well as how we respond.
The 7th Gene Key
Gene Key founder Richard Rudd reminds us that our level of consciousness dictates the consciousness of the leaders we have. The three frequency bands of the 7th Gene Key are Division, Guidance, and Virtue.
As we can see worldwide, we have the shadow frequencies of Division at play. There are the pro- and anti- narratives, along with censorship and dodgy fact-checkers. This has been restricting free discourse and open dialogue and prompting people to speak in code and memes in order to share information.
Discernment
“If we don’t have a strong sense of our own core stability, we’re at risk of being pulled into the current of someone’s 7th Gene Key agenda. It can sound exciting and enticing. It can sound captivating and filled with promise. If we aren’t discerning, we’ll very likely fall victim to this energy in the world.” – Richard Rudd, The 64 Ways
Remember that those with the 7th Gene Key in their Hologenetic Profile have this power of being listened to. It’s part of their aura. We listen because they sound like they know what they are talking about. As a species, we have thus far lived in a hierarchical society. We’re used to leaders and authorities to show the way through crisis, be it diplomacy, alliances, retreat, war, economic measures, mandates, etc. People with the 7th Gene Key are not necessarily leaders; they may be people of influence. Who are you listening to in your life?
I Ching
The I Ching of this hexagram is The Army. The Army can be a brutal force, an extension of a leader holding shadow frequency or they are sacred warriors, “an army of virtues” as Richard Rudd calls them. Five of the six lines of this Hexagram are yin, the yang line in the centre, showing the importance of yin qualities in true leadership. And of how virtue, the best within us, bubbles through the waters of life.
“This speaks to the archetype of the power behind the throne which is able to have massive influence without needing to be in the limelight. We are naturally drawn to one who is living according to higher principles, in service to the whole. This is a part of the mystical power of the feminine, which draws its power like a spring from deep within the earth. The gift of Guidance is found in listening, much like one who seeks for a sacred spring as it bubbles up from under the earth.” – Jesse Chesnutt, modern mystic, philosopher, teacher, Jedi, and owner of Woven Wisdom with Jennifer Brooks.
Some people equate 2021 as 2012. Whether that is true, it is clear that we are in unprecedented and pivotal times. Will we allow our fears to imprison us, to divide humanity, pitting against each other? Will we leap through the door in joy, into the new world?
No matter what side you find yourself or what information you are wading through, anchor in your own sovereignty and respect other people’s choices. Trust in yourself, and your knowing of what is correct for you. Nothing is black and white and living in nuances can be challenging, albeit also exciting and full of potential. Learning to fully accept and respect each other as we are and being uniquely ourselves is next level evolution.
“Remember that the ultimate victory in any battle comes when we regain our inner independence, our neutrality, and our equanimity.” – Brian Browne Walker, The I Ching or Book of Changes.
Message From Hopi Chief White Eagle :
“This moment that humanity is living through can be considered a door or a hole. The decision to fall into the hole or go through the door is yours.
If you consume information 24 hours a day, with negative energy, constantly nervous, with pessimism, you will fall into this hole.
But if you take the opportunity to look at yourself, to rethink life and death, to take care of yourself and others, you will go through the door.
Take care of your home, take care of your body. Connect with your spiritual home. When you take care of yourself, you take care of others at the same time.
Do not underestimate the spiritual dimension of this crisis. Adopt the perspective of an eagle that sees everything from above with a broader vision.
There is a social demand in this crisis, but also a spiritual demand. The two go hand in hand. Without the social dimension, we fall into fanaticism. Without the spiritual dimension, we fall into pessimism and futility.
You are prepared to go through this crisis. Grab your toolbox and use all the tools at your disposal. Learn to resist by the example of the Indian and African peoples: we have been and continue to be exterminated.
* But we never stopped singing, dancing, lighting fires and having joy.
Don’t feel guilty for feeling lucky in these difficult times. Being sad and without energy doesn’t help at all.
* Resilience is resilience through joy!
You have the right to be strong and positive. You have to maintain a beautiful, cheerful and bright posture.
This has nothing to do with alienation (ignorance of the world). It is a strategy of resistance. When we walk in the door, we have a new view of the world because we have faced our fears and difficulties.
This is what you can do now:
– Serenity in the storm,
– Keep calm, meditate daily,
– Make a habit of encountering the sacred every day.
Demonstrate resilience through art, joy, trust and love.”
