Jin Shin Jyutsu – The Ancient Art of Living

According to this ancient natural healing art from Japan, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Physio-philosophy harmonizes the life energy in the body while energizing your body, mind, and spirit.

Harmonizing your attitudes is so simple! Gently holding fingers on a daily basis can dissipate attitudes that disharmonize the total being.

Closely related to acupressure, the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu was dramatically revived in the early 1900’s by Master Jiro Murai in Japan who made the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu his life’s work. Through the efforts of Mary Burmeister, this “gift” was brought to the United States in the 1950’s. And through Mary’s teachings, there are now thousands of practitioners worldwide. The translation of the words Jin Shin Jyutsu, means “Art of the Creator through Compassionate Man”.

This gentle Art does not involve massage or manipulation of muscles. As in breathing (exhale/ inhale), energy moves down the front of the body and up the back. Jin Shin Jyutsu employs 26 “safety energy locks”, like vortexes of energy, found on the body that run along pathways. The natural energy flow can lock up and even back up causing us discomfort and even disease. Light touch restores the correct flow of energy. Holding these energy locks in combination brings balance to mind, body, and spirit.

JIN SHIN JYUTSU SELF HELP

What sets this healing art apart from all the rest is the ability to do it on yourself.

Through the Self-Help, “Now Know Myself”, we learn to interpret the messages our body gives us.

  • To harmonize body circulation through the breath
Place both finger tips in the center of you palms (or under your arm pits) then count 36 deep exhales.
  • For muscular tension
Place your fingers on the back of the knees simultaneously, just below the bend of the knee and hold for a few minutes.
  • For feeling bloated, short of breath, nervous, or digestive tensionCriss cross your hands and place them on the inner thighs for a few minutes.

There are no set rules for the amount of time doing Self Help but the more you do it, the better you feel! As Mary says, “We are our only limitation.”

Our attitudes can get us into trouble. In his research, Jiro Muri discovered that your attitudes, treated by holding your fingers, Worry (thumb), Fear (index), Anger (middle), Grief (ring) and Pretense (little) have knock on effects. Harmonizing your attitudes is so simple! Gently holding fingers on a daily basis can dissipate attitudes that disharmonize the total being and it is the “trick” to falling asleep. Even babies in the womb know to suck the thumb to harmonize the attitude of worry.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is also used to help treat chronic illness, and restore health imbalances. It induces a deep sense of well being and relaxation that relieves tension and stress which accumulates daily. You can’t get well with the same thoughts that made you sick.

Get to know the “Creator’s Art” and you can see how it feels to really be happy. Observe your own transformation. It Is life changing.
