Agnihotra : Fire as the Answer to Greater Health and Environmental Healing

We live in a cloud of pollution – air, water, soil, space, electromagnetic, sound, agricultural…

The upside is that nature always has a solution.

The ancient healing science of Yajnya or Homa Therapy was revived and brought to the West by Shree Vasant in the 1970s. As a Messenger of Fire, Shree Vasant’s goal was to heal the dying forests in Baltimore. Now it is a worldwide practice, as an antidote to pollution and a healing tool for human, animal, and environment.

“Yajnya is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of Fire.” Super science from ancient wisdom and as old as creation.

The atmosphere that is cleansed is not only the biosphere of the earth but the landscape of the human condition.

This is a healing tool for the planet and all her living inhabitants. For many around the world, it is also a way of living – performing daily Yajnya, taking ash medicine, or embracing Homa farming.

The basic Yajnya or Homa is Agnihotra, performed precisely at sunrise and sunset.

Done at the exact second of these two special times, Agnihotra tunes into the biorhythms and anchors the massive amount of healing energy that is available.

The effects cover an area of approximately 200 acres, with benefits for all within.

When a cycle of sunrise and sunset Agnihotra is performed for three months, a healthy biosphere and peaceful atmosphere is sustained. This measures 12km high and 1km wide.

What are the Benefits of Agnihotra and Ash Medicine?

The benefits of performing or attending Agnihotra are quite impressive – a general better quality of life, living in harmony with nature, a healthy environment, and physical, emotional, mental health. The ash can also used as medicine.

Testimonials of “miraculous” healing span the globe. Brain cyst. HIV+. Penicillin-Cephalosporin allergy. Psoriasis. Diabetes. High blood pressure. Throat cancer. Asthma. These are only some of the stories shared at the recent Agnihotra Workshop in Singapore led by Frits and Lee Ringma from the Homa Therapy Association of Australia.

Ash medicine is full of life force. Measured by NASA labs, 92 elements have been identified in the ash, including all trace elements in perfect balance for health.

How to Use Agnihotra Ash Medicine?

Agnihotra ash can be used as medicine in two ways – drinking it in water or using it as an ointment.

Use a sieve or tea strainer to separate the ash from other remnants. Put a pinch of ash powder in a glass (not plastic) of filtered water. Drink regularly to detox, energize, cleanse, and maintain the auric fields, and to neutralize radiation. It’s believed that a glass of ash water every hour can heal anything.

An ointment is made from one part ash and nine parts ghee, by weight. Apply on the skin to help with inflammation, eczema, scars, nappy rash, dry skin, and open wounds. Rubbed externally over affected organs, the ointment helps conditions of these organs, such as heart and kidney ailments. The ointment can also reduce pain.

Aside from using Agnihotra ash as medicine, it can also be incorporated into everyday living in many ways.

This ash can be used as toothpaste, when combined with sea salt, or in farming and horticulture. Mix one teaspoon of ash in filtered water. Leave for two days in the sun and spray on plants, particularly the diseased ones. Seeds soaked in ash water are found to be healthier and more robust.

Key Points for Agnihotra

1  Agnihotra is not based on religious beliefs, but universal wisdom.

2  The items used in Agnihotra are: an inverted copper or gold pyramid of a definitive size and proportion, ghee from pure 100% cow’s milk, brown rice for offering, and dried cow dung for burning.

According to Fivefold Path Inc, the pyramid is the “generator, the turbine, the fire”. Not only do gold and copper have healing properties, they are fantastic conductors for the sun’s energy. The energy that is gathered around the Agnihotra pyramid creates a magnetic field that reinforces positive energy and neutralizes negative energy.

The pyramid is both the receiver and transmitter and should face easterly, if possible. The person performing Agnihotra can sit on any side, but not at the corners of the pyramid.

3  Specific Sanskrit mantras are used at sunrise and sunset.

Sanksrit is the origin of language itself. Sanskrit words are used for their vibrational and resonant quality, which is the vibration of the thing it names.

The mantras are spoken at the exact time of sunrise or sunset. The correct time to the second is crucial for achieving the healing effects of Agnihotra.

Please email any certified Homa Therapy centreswith your address details so that they can calculate and provide you with the sunrise/sunset timings for Agnihotra for your location. Homa Therapy Association of Australia is the Homa Therapy Centre for Australasia and you may email them anytime for information and/or time sheet requests. Their website is www.Agnihotra.com.au and their email address is omshreedham@Agnihotra.com.au.

4  The ash from the first Agnihotra for a new pyramid is not used for medicinal purposes. The first Agnihotra done should be at sunset, for purification, to make way for the renewal energy of the sunrise.

5  Those not performing Agnihotra but wishing to benefit should sit on the eastern face of the pyramid. Items, such as crystals, water, and medicine, can be placed in this direction to be charged with life’s vital force.

6  Women should not perform or attend Agnihotra during menstruation or until 12 days after birth of a child.
