Gut Health Support

We know that gut health is intimately connected to our brain, mental health, and emotional state. Gut health is simply important since a healthy digestive system ensures that we extract all the nutrients we require from the food we take in.

There are so many reasons our gut health becomes compromised. We can agree that the quality of our food and agricultural practices have degraded over time. The abundance of pesticides and fertilizers has depleted soil nutrients as well as increased toxicity. The food industries have created “foods” that are highly addictive and little nutrient values. Our own terrain has become less healthy as well. We have and continue to block our body’s own innate ability to function, rejuvenate, and regenerate. Partly this is due to the both acute and chronic stress levels people deal with.

So it is no wonder that so many people struggle with digestive health.

Gentle Gut Health Protocol

It’s confusing what to do, where to start, given so much information is out there. I like Earthley’s protocol, which is their Gut Health Bundle. This is their top three gut health products. It includes two ounces (60ml) of Gut Health Oil, Liver Love, and Digest-Ease, as well as their Gut Health Support Guide. The guide is a downloadable PDF with more information on ways to support gut health.

I started using Earthley’s Gut Health Oil a couple of years ago. It’s something I do once in a while. I recently purchased this bundle and have added their V-Detox which binds to heavy metals and pulls them out of the body. (Note: not advisable for those with metal fillings.)

The Gut Health Oil was designed to promote gut health and can help to eliminate parasites.

I’ve also taken Liver Love before. This is great to help open detox pathways, which is best to be done first. I also regularly use Lymphatic Cream and The Lymphatic Brush already. Having the pathways open helps reduce the discomfort.

If you’re new to this or new to the Gut Health Oil, try starting with two drops a day and work up to the suggested dosage. Continue for a few weeks after symptoms, such as indigestion and constipation, stop. You may also notice rashes disappearing. The skin is connected to our liver and gut. If you don’t have symptoms, take the Gut Health Oil for six weeks.

Digest-ease is for indigestion, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and bloating. It can be used daily, or as needed. A lot of times these are signs that you are eating food that you are sensitive or allergic to. While this is a healthy alternative to Tums, it’s better for long term gut health to eliminate what your body actually does not like or deal well with.

For those who need help with digestive enzymes, look into Digest Support as an additional tincture. This is made with bitter herbs to promote production of digestive juices/enzymes to prevent problems that come with food being incompletely digested.
