Come join us for this intimate yoga series as we connect in with the five elements through movement and mudras which support our meridians. Fundamental to the practice is gentleness and inner exploration – it is your practice time and an invitation to go within to rest in the home of your being.
January 8 2018 | EARTH ELEMENT
With the element of EARTH, we connect in to the stability of our body’s container, supported by the ground below our feet. When in balance, this element is associated with abundance, steadiness and connection. When out of balance, we may experience feelings of not-enough, insecurity and a tendency towards isolation.
January 15 2018 | WATER ELEMENT
With the element of WATER, we dive into the tides of our body, the fluidity and ever changing nature of our emotions. When in balance, this element is associated with our sense of intuition or knowing, wisdom and the ability to flow with life. When out of balance, this element may express in the form of indecision, fearfulness and a feeling of being spread too thinly across the different aspects of our lives.
January 22 2018 | FIRE ELEMENT
With the element of FIRE, we ignite our inner will and honour our heart’s desires to take inspired action in the world. When in balance, this element is associated with qualities of passion, determination or celebration. When out of balance, we may experience feelings of hyperactivity, apathy, weakness or overwhelm.
January 29 2018 | AIR ELEMENT
With the element of AIR, we learn the art of surrendering to the interconnected nature of all things, the relationship between releasing what no longer serves us so that we can receive. When this element is in balance, we are able to move with grace through life’s changes, letting go when it is time, and being receptive to whatever is arriving. When this element is out of balance, we may feeling a resistance to change, and express a desire to remain in control of how things unfold.
February 5 2018 | SPACE ELEMENT
With the element of SPACE, we trust in how our lives are unfolding and see that our different experiences are part of a larger, more coherent whole. When in balance, this element is associated with clarity of purpose and a capacity to handle whatever life brings our way. When out of balance, we may experience feelings of being lost or unclear about where we are headed, or prone to react in anger easily.
