Shiatsu means "finger pressure" and is a form of Japanese bodywork. Based on the philosophy of TCM, it is believed by Shiatsu practitioners that diseases result from imbalances in the natural energy flow. Using pressure from fingers, thumbs, and palms, the therapist works to improve the flow of qi. The therapist will also rotate and stretch your joints, as needed.
A session is done fully clothed and done on the floor to encourage maximum muscle relaxation.
